British Residents

Eligibility

Residents in England, Scotland and Wales are eligible to shop Tax Free in Ireland. This also includes Irish nationals living permanently in Great Britain. Residents from Northern Ireland are not eligible to shop Tax Free.

Tax Free Shopping Limits

British residents can only shop Tax Free between €75 and their Import Duty Allowance of £390 (or Euro equivalent). For sales above their Import Duty Allowance, GB VAT and import duties must be paid which would outweigh the refund value.

Customs Approval

All refunds are subject to Customs approval.

Tax Free forms within GB Import Duty allowance of £390 (or Euro equivalent) can be returned fully completed to Planet at the airport on departure. Planet will take care of the Custom’s process on your behalf.

If your Tax Free form is above GB Import duty allowance of €390 ( or Euro equivalent), but below €1,999.99, you must pay GB VAT and import duties and provide proof of same before submitting your form to Planet. It is likely that the GB VAT and import duties would outweigh the value of the refund.

If your Tax Free form is above €2,000, you must present your form to EU Customs for stamping on departure and also pay GB VAT and import duties, providing proof of same before submitting your form to Planet. It is likely that the GB VAT and import duties would outweigh the value of the refund.
