The Winners

Founders of brushdoc, husband and wife duo Gary and Ciara win a €10,000 business development fund and have secured the amazing opportunity to sell their range at Arnotts, both in-store and online.

For the second year running, Pitch ’22 launched last April calling on budding Irish start-up companies and promising new brands to pitch for an opportunity to retail their product in Arnotts, with the chance of winning a €10,000 business development fund to grow their business. Gary and Ciara were amongst hundreds of applicants, who were reviewed and shortlisted to five finalists by our expert judging panel. The finalists worked with our judges and traded in-store and online throughout November and December, the busiest time of the year.

brushdoc is a revolutionary tool that cleans makeup brushes and sponges in seconds, thanks to its advanced rotating technology that allows the user to achieve a deep clean with minimal effort. The product itself is compact, USB-powered and easily transportable, so makeup brushes can be washed in any location – there is no longer a need to spend hours at a sink.

Behind the brand is Dublin-based husband and wife duo Gary and Ciara Malone. Ciara is a makeup artist by trade, having spent years working with individual clients at makeup counters including Brown Thomas; she saw the need for a self-cleaning brush tool that is both efficient and thorough. Gary brings an accountancy background meaning the two create the perfect blend of both business and expertise.
