The pieces are designed for interior domestic use and may be installed on any stable level carpeted floor. If your floor is wood, tile or laminate the tables are supplied with plastic floor protectors that clip on to the frame. You may wish to further protect the floor surface using felt pads. These are readily obtained from DIY stores.
For stability reasons console tables should be, and are designed to be, placed against a wall or at the back of a suitable sofa.
Care:
Avoid dragging articles across the surface. Do use coasters under glasses and table-mats under crockery. Remove rings when cleaning. Do not overload the tables. Avoid dropping heavy items on the table-tops or striking the edges [which are more vulnerable] with an object such as a vacuum cleaner handle. Toughened glass will shatter if impacted by a heavy sharp object.
Spillages: Acids such as are found in fruit juices and wine could stain the frame. If you do spill anything on the table base, wipe off at once, using a clean damp cloth then dry off with a clean dry cloth.
The glass surface is resistant to most materials normally encountered in a domestic environment.
Cleaning: Wipe all surfaces with a moist microfiber cloth. Smears and spills can be removed by first using a mild detergent [washing up liquid] solution in warm water. Remove the solution with a clean damp cloth then dry off with a clean soft cloth. Always be sure that all cloths used are clean and free from grit that could scratch the glass or frame.
This Console Table has a classic frame design, which we have updated with this gorgeous soft grey brushed pewter finish, with contemporary grey smoke toughened glass top.
