How much does it cost to visit Santa?
Visiting Santa Claus is free and includes an I’ve Seen Santa badge for each child. There is a photographer at Santa’s Grotto available to capture a photograph of your visit which you can purchase as a souvenir.
This year, Arnotts are asking for a donation of €5 per family for visiting Santa. 100% of this donation will go to Lauralynn
Where is the Santa Q ticket station located?
There are two Santa Q ticket stations located on Second Level near the Grotto, in our Christmas Wonderland. There is also a ticket station location in the Childrenswear Department on Basement Level. Please ask one of our Elves for help if you have trouble purchasing a Santa Q ticket.
How long is the wait to see Santa Claus?
Santa Claus can meet up to 140 families per day. The demand for tickets increases the closer we get to Christmas and for those who do secure tickets, the wait can be four hours long. We invite you to use this time by browsing the store, visiting one of our cafés or restaurants or joining in some of the festive events that will be happening throughout the Christmas season.
How will I know my place in the Santa Q?
You can monitor your ticket number and place in the Santa Q by checking the various Santa Q screens located throughout the store. The Santa Q display screens will show what Santa Q number is currently being called to Santa’s Grotto.
What if my phone’s battery dies while I am waiting?
Don’t worry; you’ll still have your Santa Q ticket with your unique Santa Q number. There are numerous display screens throughout the store showing what Santa Q number is currently being called to the Grotto, which you can refer to until it’s your turn. Alternatively ask one of our Customer Service representatives at the Grotto who will let you know what time to return to the Grotto at.
What if I have no mobile phone?
To enter the Santa Q system you must provide a valid mobile phone number.
Is the limit one ticket per child or one ticket per family?
There is a limit of one Santa Q ticket per family.
What is the maximum number of people per ticket?
There is no limit to the amount of people per Santa Q ticket.
Can I book online in advance?
Unfortunately we cannot offer advance online bookings at this time. Santa Q is offered on a first come, first served basis each day.
What happens if I miss my slot?
If you miss your time slot, you will enter a grace period of 20 minutes. During this time you will be placed in a holding cycle during which time you can still avail of your Santa visit.
What is the average waiting time?
The waiting time varies depending on what day it is and what time of day it is. During the busiest period, the waiting time can be between four and six hours long. The waiting time will be displayed on the ticket machine before you are allocated your slot.
When is the least busy time to visit Santa?
Midweek days and early mornings tend to be much quieter times.
When is the busiest period?
Weekends are the busiest times and long queues are to be expected. Visitors tend to increase significantly after December 10th. The closer it gets to Christmas Eve, the busier it gets.
How do I cancel my slot if I have to leave in advance?
If you cannot visit Santa at your allocated time, you will need to cancel your Santa Q ticket. Please alert one of Santa’s helpers at the Grotto if you wish to cancel your visit. This ensures your cancellation won’t incur any delays for other visitors.
What can I do if Santa Q is booked up?
The closer we get to Christmas the more likely it is that the Santa Q will be booked up early in the day, for that day. Santa Q reopens the following morning with no pre-bookings so you can always try again the next day.
