Visiting Santa Claus at Arnotts is a free service which we are delighted to offer our customers on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, each day. However, Santa can only meet up to 140 families per day. The closer we get to Christmas, more and more families are coming to visit Santa Claus. Due to this popular demand, Santa is now being booked out early in the morning, for that day. For those who secure Santa Q tickets, the queue can be up to six hours long.

From Friday, December 18th Santa's Grotto will be opening at the earlier time of 8am to accommodate more families each day. On Christmas Eve the Grotto will close at 12pm so that Santa can make his way back to the North Pole in time for his magical trip around the world. Santa will only be able to see up to 50 families on Christmas Eve and we expect tickets will be snapped up by 9am.

We invite you to explore the store while you wait! Find the perfect Christmas gifts for friends and family; discover the wonders of Toytown; visit the Star Wars Pop-Up and take a selfie with Chewbacca and a Stormtrooper; make a wish at the Irish Fairy Doors Wishing Well or relax over coffee and Christmas treats in one of our cosy cafés. There’s plenty to see and do while you wait your turn in the Santa Q.

Here Comes Santa Claus

Santa has left the North Pole behind in favour of the magical Christmas Grotto at Arnotts. Make sure you and your family are on the nice list by visiting Santa and his Elves for free. The Christmas Grotto is located on the Second Floor beside the Furniture Department and is open to all our special visitors until Christmas Eve.

Whether it’s an old or new tradition, visiting Santa Claus at Arnotts has been a family favourite for years and years. Kids will have a chance to tell Santa what’s on their Christmas list and whether they’ve been naughty or nice this year. If you like, we can snap a professional photo of your time with Santa which you can purchase after your visit as a memory for you to treasure!

Your Santa Visit

The brand new Virtual Santa Queue means you can now pick up your Santa Queue ticket on arrival and spend the waiting time engaging in the festive activities across the store.

We’ll let you know when your turn to meet Santa rolls around, so you have plenty of time to make your way to the Grotto.

Here’s how ‘Santa Q’ works in three easy steps:

Christmas at Arnott - Step 1

Go to a ‘Santa Q’ Ticket Station - there are three located around the store - at the Car Park entrance to the store; by the Henry Street entrance door; and at Santa’s Grotto.

Christmas at Arnott - Step 2

Enter your booking details and take your ticket. Display screens across the store will display the number currently at the top of the queue to meet Santa.

Christmas at Arnott - Step 3

You will receive a text message when your group is fifth in the queue, so you know when it’s time to make your way to Santa's Grotto on Level 2.

If you’d like, we can take a photo of your special time with Santa, which you can purchase after your visit as a memory for you to treasure!
